Curation Review
- ✔ Pros: Multigig 1/2.5/5/10GbE access with PoE-bt (802.3bt) on 24MP/48MP/48MXP for Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 AP backhaul; High switching capacity of up to 1020 Gbps bidirectional on the 48MP/48MXP; 2x 100GbE QSFP28 uplinks on most fixed models; Junos OS with Virtual Chassis and EVPN-VXLAN fabric support; Compact 1U form factor with 112,000-entry MAC table; Modular 48F and 24MP models accept 4x25G SFP28 extension module; Wide range of AC and DC PSU options for redundancy
- ✘ Cons: Total PoE budget is not clearly stated on the official hardware page and single-PSU figures vary across sources; Forwarding rate (Mpps) is confirmed only for the 48MP and 48MXP; Premium pricing relative to lower-cost access switches; Multigig and PoE models with extension-module slots need extra cost for uplink expansion; Some port configurations (24P, 48P) show conflicting port descriptions in datasheets; Requires Junos licensing awareness for advanced L3 and fabric features; Several listings in the market are refurbished, so pricing and warranty vary
- Est. Price: $995 - $7,332
